Oracle today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire a major cloud service provider RightNow for $43.00 per share or approximately $1.5 billion. The deal will be closed late this year or early next year.
RightNow’s software helps organizations manage customer interactions across the web, social networks and contact centers. According to RightNow, this cloud based software is used by more than 2000 organizations.
This acquisition would take Oracle one step closer to it’s aggressive goal of providing full range of Cloud Solutions to customers. Read more here.
