Limit Object Access in App Designer

You do not want all your developers to be given access to modify all objects from App Designer similar to the way some developers have only read only access to certain Tools tables. What is this kind of security called? How can it be implemented?

    Application Definition Security are linked with primary permission list.
    If you want a developer to not allow to change any or all App engine program or record or then as a administrator you login into App Designer and then navigate to GO menu and open Definition Security, Open Primary permission list and restrict all App Engine or specific object you want.
